T.J Brodie will be spending at least five more years in Calgary. On Monday, the Calgary Flames and defenseman T.J Brodie agreed to a five-year contract extension that will keep the 24-year old in Clergy until the 2019-2020 season. 

According to Hockey Night In Canada's Elliotte Friedman, the deal will have a value of $23.25 million. So far this season, the defenseman has proven to be an offensive threat as well as he's been able to pick up three goals and four assists for seven points in the Flames first seven games. 

Brodie, drafted in the fourth round and 114th overall in 2008 has recorded 11 goals and 55 assists in 192 career games for the Flames.
