Chicago, IL - Antti Raanta stopped 32 shots and shutout the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night and Chicago will be looking for at least two more stellar performances out of the 25-year-old Finnish goalie, as Corey Crawford will not travel with the team.

News broke at around 12:45 PM CDT that Crawford will not be traveling with the Blackhawks on this upcoming road trip that includes stops in Nashville and St. Louis. Crawford sat out of Tuesday night’s game with an upper-body injury after he missed the team’s morning skate. Joel Quenneville said that Crawford is listed as "day-to-day"

After Wednesday's morning skate at the United Center, Quenneville told the media that Crawford will not be traveling with the team on the upcoming road trip. Coach Q even mentioned the possibility that Scott Darling might be called up from the Rockford IceHogs if Crawford doesn’t return before Sunday’s game at home against the Ottawa Senators.

Darling has no prior NHL experience, however he has spent some time down in the AHL. Darling spent last season with the Milwaukee Admirals (Nashville Predators AHL) and posted a 2.00 GAA (Goals against average) and a .933 SP (Save percentage) in 26 games.

Corey Crawford sits at a 3-0-1 record this season with a 1.66 GAA and a .926 SP in four starts for Chicago this season.
