Sergei Bobrovsky will be out for this weekend's NHL All-Star Game the Columbus Blue Jackets announced on Thursday

The 26-year-old Vezina trophy winner was elected to his first All-Star Game this year, but he suffered a lower-body injury on Wednesday night when the Blue Jackets fell to the Winnipeg Jets 4-0. The injury has caused dissapointment among Blue Jacket fans who voted the goalie into the All-Star game, which takes place in Columbus Sunday afternoon.

Bobrovsky this season has collected a 16-15-2 record through 33 games. Ironically, Bobrovsky's 2.85 goals-against average is on track to be the fifth-year veteran's highest GAA since the 2011-2012 season when he posted a 3.02 GAA for the Philadelphia Flyers

Saint Louis Blues goalie Brian Elliot will replace Bobrovsky at this year's All-Star game. Elliot, 29, has posted a 13-5-2 record this season with a 1.86 GAA with a .930 save percentage over 22 games.
