The weekend started off with a fantasy draft. Two captains, Jonathan Toews and Nick Foligno, took the stage at the Greater Columbus Convention Center to hand pick who would represent their teams at the 2015 NHL All Star Game held in Columbus, Ohio at Nationwide Arena. Needless to say, it was a team of skill and agility, versus a team of all stars. This made to be a great game for both the players, and fans from all over the country.

Fast forward to game time, and how much it impacted the fans and players.

The scoring opened when Radim Vrbata of the Vancouver Canucks got a goalon a breakway attempt past Florida Panthers goaltender, Roberto Luongo. The goal was quickly answered when Anaheim Ducks captain, and Team Toews alternate captain Ryan Getzlaf equalized to knot the score a one a piece. Team Toews built on to the score when leading goal scorer of the league Jakub Voracek of the Philadelphia Flyers received a pass from Jonathan Toews and one timed a shot past goalkeeper Carey Price. Team Foligno responded when hometown fan favorite Ryan Johansen wristed a shot close range to tie the score at 2-2. Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins gave team Toews the lead at 3-2 when he recived a pass form behind the net and easily slotted it home with 7:43 left in the first period.

A few minutes later, Kevin Shattenkirk of the St. Louis Blues tied the game at three with his first of the game. Team Foligno once again took the lead when Ryan Johansen received a pass from Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin to get his second of the night. To round out the first period, John Tavares of the New Yok Islanders slid home a goal past a cart-wheeling Carey Price to send the game into the intermission tied at four.

At the start of the second period, two new goaltenders saw the ice. Corey Crawford of the Chicago Blackhawks, and Marc Andre Fleury of the Pittsburgh Penguins. The second period was solely dominated by Team Toews, as Ryan Suter clinched his first goal of the night, scoring 24 seconds into the period. Claude Giroux answered quickly answered by scoring only twelve seconds later. Tyler Seguin regained the Team Toews lead by scoring his first with held from Ryan Getzlaf, who had scored earlier in the game. Vladimir Taresenko from the St. Louis Blues also knotted his third assist of the night.

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos tied the game -- yet again -- when he scored with an assist coming from Chicago Blackhawks defender Duncan Keith.

But it was Team Toews who started to run away with the period, and the lead. Former Columbus Blue Jackets captain and Left Winger Rick Nash, who now plays for the New York Rangers, scored his first of the night. And the fans were not happy. Each time Nash touched the puck, home fans of Columbus harmonized in boo's, to remind the winger how well an incident in the previous season went when Nash took exception to goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky by hitting him in the face. But Nash smiled, and went on about the game, knowing that it was for fun.

To add on to Team Toews' lead, Filip Forsberg of the Nashville Predators. And once again, two more goals were added to Team Toews when John Tavares and Jakub Voracek both scored their second of the night. The captain in Nick Foligno was also added to the score sheet when he connected on a pass from Alexander Ovechkin, and teammate, Ryan Johansen. Tavares had the last laugh of the period when he scored to complete his hat trick.

Now, its rarely odd during games like these to see anything less of a fight break out. Especially during an All Star Game. Late in the second period, Corey Crawford was pushed into the net while covering the puck. Teammates Brent Seabrook, and Jonathan Toews didn't take well, and took exception, which lead to a "line brawl." No penalties were awarded, and both sides went to the bench laughing and smiling. No harm, no foul right?

Fast forward to the final period, and more action.

More boo's would ring out around Nationwide Arena when Rick Nash scored his second of the night early into the third period. Patrick Kane would brake his silence of the night to score a goal almost a minute later. John Tavares from Team Toews would add to his total and get his fourth goal of the night. While later on, Voracek would get his third, and complete his hat trick. Bobby Ryan would put up a point for Team Foligno, followed by a second goal by Tyler Seguin. So many goals right?

Patrick Kane would bury his second for Team Foligno, and captain Jonathan Toews would add his first. As the game came close to an end, Filip Forsberg would get his second goal, and Brent Burns would get his goal.

At the end of the game, the horn sounded and Nationwide Arena stood in applause. The final score? The most outrageous All Star Game score there would ever be.

Team Toews 17-12 Team Foligno

As the players gathered on their respective blue lines, the MVP award and new car were handed out to the player who put on a fantastic show that night. John Tavares with four goals, many players with three goals. But in the end, the fanas voted that Ryan Johansen of the Columbus Blue Jackets deserved the MVP award. Johansen ended the night with 2 goals and 2 assists. The game finally ended, with the most respective move done by players after an All Star Game, a Stanley Cup Playoff Series, and most recently, a Winter Classic game.

Handshakes.
