The New York Rangers have beaten the Tampa Bay Lightning by the usual score line, 2-1 at Madison Square Garden. With the win the Rangers extend their 1 goal game streak to 15. The Rangers have now broken Ben Bishop’s perfect record - the Rangers of 8-0-0 in his career.

In the first period, both Henrik Lundqvist and Ben Bishop were standing on their heads and the Rangers could not buy a goal. The Rangers would open up the scoring in the 2nd period though, when Derek Stepan beat Ben Bishop with 12.8 seconds left in the 2nd period, assisted by Chris Kreider and Ryan McDonagh. The Lightning tied the game up courtesy of Ondrej Palat when the Rangers went on the Penalty Kill after Ryan McDonagh was called for high sticking, assisted by Tyler Johnson and Victor Headman. With 2:26 left in the third period, Kevin Hayes took a shot that hit Dom Moore’s knee and beat Ben Bishop.

The next game is on Monday Night at Madison Square Garden, where the Lightning look to tie it up going back to Tampa and the Rangers looking to take a commanding lead going back to Tampa. After the game the Rangers tweeted the Cup puzzle and the Broadway hat winner, Dom Moore.
