18:45 PM EST: Good evening everyone and welcome to another round of NWSL action. I'm Kudzi Musarurwa, your host for this evening and I will be reporting LIVE from the Cirtus Bowl in OrlandoFlorida. Today's matchup sees the Orlando Pride play host the Washington Spirit.

Orlando Pride 1-3 Washington Spirit.

Prediction: Washington have barely put a foot wrong all season long and thus, finds themselves in first place. Orlando, on the other hand, have had an inconsistent season which is not that surprising for an expansion team. The Pride will want to put on a show for their home crowd and the returning US internationals for both teams will want to show that their Olympic exit was blip and not the norm in their form. Both teams need the points but the Spirit have been the team to beat so far this season. This game should be another three points for Washington.

The head coach for the Orlando Pride is Tom Sermanni. On the other bench, Jim Gabarra is the head coach for the Washington Spirit.

Wys; Krieger, Johnson, Church, Dydasco; Nairn, Huster, Lohman, Williams, Dunn, Ordega.

Projected Lineup: Washington Spirit (4-3-3)

Harris; Levin, Alves, Pressley, Edmonds; Edwards, Evans, Kyle; Spencer, Morgan, Fields.

Projected Lineup: Orlando Pride (4-3-3)

Here is the projected lineup for both Orlando Pride and Washington Spirit.

The officiating crew for this match is led by center official Cory Richardson. Assistant one on the team bench side is Christina Unkel, while Alicia Messer will be opposite on the far end. The fourth official is listed as Christa McCurley

The match is being played at the Orlando Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. Game time starts at 7:30 PM EST.

The Spirit have U.S. international Crystal Dunn available for tonight's match and will look to her to provide the majority of the attacking impetus for them now that Banini is out for the season. Dunn has not scored a goal yet in the 2016 NWSL season but this match against the Pride is the perfect opportunity for her to get her first goal of the season. Canadian internationals, Diana MathesonSelina Zardosky and Stephanie Labbé are also possible substitutes in this match if selected.

These two teams have only faced each other once in June since Orlando Pride was introduced into the NWSL this season and that match ended in a 2-0 win for Washington Spirit. The goal scorers on that day were Estefania Banini and Franscesca OrdegaBanini is a long-term absentee for the Spirit now after picking up a season-ending injury.

The away side tonight is the Washington Spirit who come into this match in great form and top of the NWSL standings. Their last match, a rescheduled game against the Houston Dash ended in a 2-1 win for the Spirit who saw the return of veteran defender Ali Krieger in that match. A brace from Christine Nairn ensured all three points for the PrideKealia Ohai scored the only goal for the Dash on the night.

The last match for Orlando Pride was a one-nil loss to bottom side Boston Breakers, in what was considered an upset considering Boston's form all season. A win in front of their home fans will go a long way in easing concerns about the Pride's postseason chances.

Defensively, Orlando Pride has not been able to keep many clean sheets throughout the season. The team has conceded 19 goals in 15 matches and have suffered some big losses, particularly at the hands of Seattle Reign FC a few weeks ago. The returning Harris and Monica Alves should shore up the back line a little but the absence of Laura Alleway and the now injured Steph Catley means that the Pride faces the Spirit with a patchwork back five.

While the main players have been away on international duty, Kristen Edmonds has carried the team as much as she can before the league took its break for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Edmonds has four goals and one assist in 14 appearances for the Pride and with Jasmyne Spencer, who has three goals in 13 starts, has tried to push the team forward without its big-name players.

Orlando Pride is in a bad run of form as the head into tonight's match. They have one win out of five matches and will need to improve that statistic tonight if they want to finish in the playoffs. The Pride will be welcoming back from international duties key players such as Alex MorganAshlyn Harris, and Monica AlvesLaura Alleway has been ruled out of this Friday's match up against the Spirit and the Canadian international may not see too much action tonight.
