The starting grid for the 99th Running of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing has been set. Scott Dixon earned pole position with the fastest four-lap average in his No. 9 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet. He won the 2008 Indianapolis 500 for the pole - the last time the pole winner has been victorious.

Note that the No. 19 car will start from last position due to a driver change being made. Other spots could change based on if backup cars are required following Monday’s final full day of practice.

The field has a short practice session on Monday, May 18 and the final practice on Carb Day on Friday, May 22. The Indianapolis 500 will take the green flag for 200 laps of racing at 12:15 PM ET on Sunday, May 24.
