Conor Daly will make his fifth start of the season this weekend on the streets of Toronto as he fills the vacant seat of the No. 5 SPM entry once again.

His first drive this season came at Long Beach as he was a sudden replacement for Rocky Moran Jr., with his next race being the Indianapolis 500 where a small fire in the rear of his car on the pace laps saw his day come to a very early end. Next, he subbed for Hinchcliffe for his first time at the Dual in Detroit, driving in his third and fourth races of the season.

Now, he will climb back into the No. 5 car, again replacing Hinch for perhaps his last time of the season, as it is likely that Ryan Briscoe will pilot the No. 5 for the remainder of the season.

Minus the disappointing Indy 500, Daly's other three races this year have not been easy. At Long Beach, he was subbed in after Moran Jr. sustained a broken thumb, driving only one practice session before his first IndyCar race since his career debut at the 2013 Indy 500. Then, at Detroit, he battled the rain and cold as did the rest of the field, earning an impressive sixth-place finish in Race 2.

There was a lot of intense side-by-side racing at Detroit, a lot of back to front and front to back racing," he said of the Detroit Grand Prix weekend.

The Honda Indy Toronto weekend will get underway with Practice 1 on Friday morning. Full coverage of the weekend will reside at the Twitter account of IndyCar coverage on VAVEL, @VAVELIndyCar.
