Englishman Justin Wilson will return to Verizon IndyCar Series competition for the remainder of this 2015 season - beginning with this weekend's ABC Supply Wisconsin 250 at the historic Milwaukee Mile.

Having also raced the No. 25 Andretti Autosport Honda-powered entry at the two races at Indianapolis in May, he will return to the car for the final five races this season: Milwaukee, Iowa, Mid-Ohio, Pocono, and Sonoma.

We are really happy to bring Justin back for the rest of the season,” Michael Andretti, team owner said. “He did a really great job for us at the Indianapolis races and is a great addition to the team."

He also added: "The only downside of getting him back in the car is that we weren’t able to do it sooner.”

Wilson, besides racing at Indianapolis, raced at the Formula E round in Moscow in June. He was also set to race at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb later in June, but the car was withdrawn - and before that, he was set to share the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P2 with John Pew and Ozz Negri at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, but the car was retired before he climbed in for a stint.

It’s obviously great to be back with Andretti Autosport for the remainder of the season,” Wilson said in release from the Andretti team. “I’m really looking forward to making the most of these five races, and just trying to help the team and Honda as much as I can and try and be successful."

He notes the difficulty of jumping in late in the year as the rest of the field is familiar with the car and the new aero kits, but he says it puts them "in good shape for learning things and trying to progress," and that hopefully something can be set up for 2016.

We’ll have to take it one step at a time, but the great thing with IndyCar racing is any weekend anyone can win; you just have to make sure you do a good job and do everything as perfect as you can, and that will lead to good results.”
