Nothing really can be said about how poorly the New England Revolution played last night....ok, that is a lie, a lot can be said.

In a match where the Revolution needed three points, or even one point, the team found goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth picking the ball out of the net five times. When a team is desperate for a win, two things must never happen. 1. Get shut out in your next match, 2. Get blown-out in your next match. New England managed to do just one of those.

The problems started early and never stopped for New England. Galaxy forward, Robbie Keane, who scored twice in the match, tallied from distance early in the match to give his team a 1-0 lead. Gyasi Zardes would score twice in the match, making fans realize just how talented and dangerous he is. Stephen Ishizaki scored on a lucky costless kick that bounced wildly off the wall and sent Shuttleworth the wrong direction.

New England's only bright spot of the night was Lee Nguyen scoring a penalty kick to make the score 2-1 before halftime. Aside from Nguyen's goal, New England saw defender AJ Soares leave the match early with a Red Card.

If someone were to just read the box score stats without knowing the final score, it would be assumed that the match was much closer and New England may have even won the match. Both team finished the match with 11 total shots, while the Revs took seven corners to the Galaxy's two. LA controlled the run of play throughout the match, winning the passes completed battle, 471 to 392.

Diego Fagundez left the match early in the second half after an incredibly dull performance. If New England want's any chance of making the MLS Cup playoffs, Fagundez needs to find with dynamic playmaking abilities again. Rookie forward Patrick Mullins was also subbed off at the same time as Fagundez. Mullins failed to make an impact as well, making many question if he really is as talented as thought earlier in the season.

New England plays one more match this week against FC Dallas. If the Revs loss again, things will start to get ugly at New England, Jay Heaps may need to start looking for a change of scenery.
