With their winless streak coming to an end, Columbus pulled off a fashionable come from behind victory against Montreal Impact in front of a sold out Columbus Crew Stadium Saturday night. With not a lot of tussle going on in this game, it was balanced for both teams. Chances being made, and successful crosses coming in from the wings. Only Columbus did it better.

With both teams creating chances and taking distant shots on target in the first 35 minutes of the first half, Montreal pulled in front. Justin Mapp hooked up Marco Di Vaio for an unstoppable goal that beat Columbus keeper Steve Clark near post. Finishing out the half with Montreal in front, Columbus was in a nightmare they wished to get out of. It was certain, they did not want to go through this again.

As the second half rolled on, Columbus picked up the pace and started attacking every chance they got when having possession of the ball after mistakes in Montreal's attacking third. After a shot by Bernardo Anor that went just outside the post minutes before, he then got a second chance to make it count. And with a nice pass from Tony Tchani, Anor struck gold with a left footed shot that was buried bottom left, from outside the 18-yard box. And just like that, things were starting to look promising for Columbus.

In the 70th minute of play, Montreal's Hassoun Camara was issued a yellow card after taking down forward Federico Higuain while on the attack. With the momentum shifting, Anor was set up by Aaron Shoenfeld and buried a screamer with his "weaker" right foot past Impact keeper Evan Bush. Columbus was now in the driver's seat of this match.

GOAL: Bernardo Anor launches a screamer into the back of the net
Goal! Columbus Crew 2, Montreal Impact 1. Bernardo Anor (Columbus Crew) right footed shot from outside the box to the top left corner.

Columbus keeper Steve Clark came up huge with two massive saves to keep his side in the lead. With a shot off of Di Vaio's right foot, Clark was able to parry it to the right and to the feet of Romero. Romero finesses it with his right, and once again Clark makes the save.

As the night ended, the Crew were victorious and pulled out the 2-1 win over Montreal. Next for Columbus, a friendly against English Premiere League side Crystal Palace. Montreal now sinks further into oblivion, and changes to the organization are surely coming soon.
