New York City FC lost their second preseason match this morning to Danish giants Brøndby in Manchester. Martin Orrisko scored for the Danish in the first half off a Mix Diskerud turnover in the midfield, while the ball just getting over the line for the goal.

Ferhan Hasani added the final goal in the match for Brøndby early in the second half at the City Football Academy in Manchester.

US international Mix Diskerud played his first minutes for NYCFC, featuring in Jason Kreis' starting eleven. Diskerud's mistake in the middle of the pitch in the 1st half was the start of a counterattack that lead to the 1st goal against City.

In the 1st half, Andres Mendoza had a quality chance at goal on a free kick 35 yards from goal, while David Villa keep sniffing around the opposition's box, but couldn’t get much concrete on goal.

Head coach Jason Kreis made a large number of substitutions at the half, replacing everyone but goalkeeper Josh Saunders. Manchester City keeper Eirik Johansen replaced Saunders later in the 66th minute.

Tony Taylor was impressive for the second straight match, while trialist and David Villa's best fiend Pablo Alvarez looked slow and did not impress while he fights for a spot on the final roster.

Kwadwo Poku, as some have called the Yaya Toure of MLS, impressed in the second half as he controlled the midfield for City. The youngster was signed from the NASL and has made a good impression on Jason Kreis in Manchester.

City will now head stateside to participate in the Carolina Challenge Cup from Feb 21st to the 28th. They will play alongside fellow MLS clubs Houston Dynamo and Orlando City in the final preseason matches.
