Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, the man simply known as Ronaldo (not Crstiano), will attempt to comeback to play football for the first time since 2011. The legendary Brazilian striker had an illustrious but injury raved career. The Brazilian played for European giants Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Barcelona and A.C. Milan was well as playing for Brazilian giants Corinthians at the end of his career.

Ronaldo won played in three FIFA World Cups for his native Brazil, including scoring the only two goals of the 2002 final against Germany in Japan.

Ronaldo recently bought a 10% stake in NASL side Ft. Lauderdale Strikers, in attempt to help his Brazilian friends who recently took over the club. He never discarded the idea of playing for the club when he recently had his introductory press conference as a minority owner.

“It’s going to happen,” Ronaldo said. “I have already said so. But it’s going to be a bit later, in the play-offs.”

"For now, we are organizing it all, but I am going to have a [weight] goal,” he added."

Although many will look at this move as a positive for the brand, the Strikers helped their club by adding longtime Flamengo player Leo Moura to the club. Moura should add a veteran presence to the club as well as brining some skill and flare.
