The United States Soccer Federation has released the draw for the fourth round of the 2015 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. Fans are in store for some juicy potential matchups as well as one matchup that we already know.

Due to the number of American-based Major League Soccer clubs (17), it was known that two MLS clubs would have to face off with one other in the fourth round. That matchup is bound to be a classic as the Portland Timbers will travel north to face off with the Seattle Sounders FC at Starfire Sports Complex on June 16th. This will be the second consecutive year that the two clubs will meet in the US Open Cup, Seattle came away with a thrilling 3-1 win in last year’s clash.

Another big potential 4th round clash involves one of the expansion franchises in Major League Soccer. New York City FC just recently played their first derby match with New York Red Bulls and could square off with the New York Cosmos of the NASL. The Cosmos will need to get past the amateur side Jersey Express from the Premier Development League. Jersey Express are coming off a 1-0 victory of the New York Red Bulls II on Wednesday night.

There are a potential for a maximum of seven in-state derbies including potential matches between Colorado Rapids and the expansion Colorado Springs Switchbacks, Orlando City SC and Fort Lauderdale Strikers, as well as the Philadelphia Union against their USL affiliate Harrisburg City Islanders.
