Brad Evans has been with the Seattle Sounders since the beginning. He is in fact only one of four players that remain from the very first team the Sounders put together back in 2009. He accomplished something this past Wednesday that not many in Rave Green have done during their MLS era. He made his 150th MLS appearance for the Sounders.

Evans was originally drafted 15th overall during the 2007 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew. During the 2007 MLS season, he only appeared in four matches for various reasons. In 2008, Evans made 26 MLS appearances and scored five goals during that time. He also started the 2008 MLS Cup final, a 3-1 victory of the New York Red Bulls.

The Sounders made Evans the 10th overall pick during the expansion draft. He started the Sounders first ever match, a 3-0 win over the Red Bulls, and scored the clubs second ever goal.

Throughout the years, Evans has played a variety of positions for the Sounders. He has played as a midfielder, a right back and most recently as a center back. He has also made numerous appearances for the United States Men's national team as a right back.

During the 2014 MLS season, Evans became the clubs captain after the departure of Mauro Rosales. He is the epitome of a great captain. Does what you ask and doesn’t complain even if he doesn’t like it (at least not in the media like some players). Evans does what is best for the team at that time.

The 2015 MLS season is Evans first as a center back and there have been some growing pains. He looked great in his first match against the New England Revolution and looked like a disaster against the San Jose Earthquakes. There were a lot of fans out there that didn't want Evans playing as center back. This writer felt he needed more time to adjust to a brand new position and everyone needed to get off the Brad Evans hate train.

Since week two of this season, Evans has played well at his new position. There have been a few mistakes here and there, but he's human and mistakes happen. He is becoming a better center back as the days go by and one could hope that we see Evans appear in another 150 MLS matches for the Sounders.

Congratulations on your accomplishment Brad. It has been well earned.
