The Seattle Sounders will be facing Club Deportivo Olimpia at the Estadio Nacional on Wednesday. A road victory for the Rave Green will bring them within a point of securing their spot in the next round.

To defeat the historic Honduran club will prove to be a difficult task in Central America. The Sounders will be facing a desperate opponent on Wednesday night. Olimpia must make sure that they leave the match with at least a point; if they lose then the Leones will be out of the CONCACAF Champions League (CCL).

This is how group F looks before the game.

Group F
Clubs PTS GP W L D GF GA GD
1.Seattle Sounders FC 4 2 1 0 1 3 2 1
2.Vancouver Whitecaps FC 1 1 0 0 1 1 1 0
3.Club Deportivo Olimpia 0 1 0 1 0 1 2 -1

Road to victory for Olimpia:

It is very simple for the Central Americans they must attack and finish their chances. The last time these two clubs met Olimpia only took six shots and managed to get two of them on target.

The Leones attack will be led by Anthony Lozano and Alberth Elis. The two young Honduras international strikers will need to run at the Seattle backline and fire at will.

Not to mention veteran keeper Noel Valladores will need to be on his toes for the 90 minutes. The Sounders offense will only exist on the counter, but when they do attack it might eliminate Olimpia from the CCL if he is not ready.

Road to victory for Seattle:

The Sounders defense will need to be on full alert. The first 20 to 30 minutes will be chaotic since the Leones will be launching numerous attacks on the Rave Green.

The newly signed center back Román Torres will not be available for selection as Sounder at Heart mentioned. The offense will be relying on the pace and creativity of Lamar Neagle. Seattle’s Head Coach Sigi Schmid must be aware that without Osvaldo Alonso and Clint Dempsey possession will be rare. Their absences make Neagle pace so important in this match.

Predicting starting XI for Seattle:

GK: Troy Perkins

He is a veteran and will be able to handle himself in the hostile atmosphere of the Estadio Nacional.

DEF: Dylan Remick, Damion Lowe, Zach Scott and Michael Azira

The backline will be tested and Lowe and Scott will need to anchor the defense. The main thing this defense will need to avoid is an early goal. An early goal will lead to disaster for the Rave Green.

MID: Aaron Kovar, Cristian Roldan, Gonzalo Pineda and Thomas

These players will start the game, but it is safe to say that Brad Evans and Erik Friberg will get into the game sometime.

FWD: Neagle and Darwin Jones

With Neagle and Jones' speed, Seattle may be able to hit Olimpia on the counter. They will most of the time be stranded and swarmed by Olimpia defenders, but both of them will still need to find a way to create opportunities.

Prediction: Olimpia 3-1 Seattle

The Sounders will start shaky in the Estadio Nacional and the Leones will pounce on them, and by the end the half they will have a 2-0 lead. The offense of Seattle will be suffocated until Olimpia takes a 3-0 lead. Then Neagle makes it 3-1 in the final five minutes.
