The United States Men's National Team will be facing a resurgent Peruvian National Team and Brazil in a span of four days in September. However, before the games even kick off it is time to predicate the call ups that will take place.

Manager Jurgen Klinsmann by now must have an idea of who he is bringing to face La Blanquirroja on the 4th and then the Canarinho on the 8th. However, for fun let’s dive into the mind of the German coach and make an educated guess of who he is picking.

Predicting Klinsmann 23 picks:

GK: Brad Guzan, Nick Rimando and Tim Howard

Klinsmann has made it clear that he is backing Guzan. Which is fine, but with Howard coming back to the national team it will be interesting to see how Guzan handles his return.

Meanwhile, Rimando has a solid grip on the third string role, especially since the other keepers are struggling either for playing time or form.

DEF: Fabian Johnson, Omar Gonzalez, John Anthony Brooks, Geoff Cameron, Ventura Alvarado, DeAndre Yedlin, Michael Orozco and DaMarcus Beasley

The project of making Brooks and Alvarado the number one center back tandem will continue with Peru and Brazil. It might lead to some scary moments for USMNT fans, but when Klinsmann has his mind set on something it rarely changes.

Now that being said, Gonzalez, Cameron and even Orozco give the coach plenty of options to replace either of the young center backs. Johnson and Yedlin are on the wings and will bring pace.

As for Beasley, he left the game against the Vancouver Whitecaps in the 24th minute on Saturday. His leg injury has not been fully diagnosed.

However, Klinsmann has brought players into camps and even tournaments who were not 100 percent fit. So, if the veteran is at least 70 percent he will report to camp.

MID: Kyle Beckerman, Alfredo Morales, Alejandro Bedoya, Graham Zusi, Sebastian Lleget, Danny Williams and Michael Bradley* (Brazil game only)

Morales, Beckerman and Williams will be fighting to be starters in the center of the midfield against Peru. This game will give them the best chance to prove their case to Klinsmann to be the starters with Bradley not available.

Bedoya is the war horse of the pack and he will most likely be starting against Peru and Brazil. Zusi gets brought back into the USMNT set up, but Lleget is the new kid.

Klinsmann likes to bring in new blood and Lleget is that person. His creativity and decision making in the final third cannot be ignored. In only 14 Major League Soccer (MLS) games played, the former West Ham United prospect has scored seven goals and has dished out two assists in the process.

FWD: Gyasi Zardes, Aron Johansson, Jozy Altidore, Clint Dempsey and Andrew Wooten

Like Beasley, Dempsey is starting to come back from an injury, a hamstring strain to be exact. However, he will be brought to the camp if he plays against the Portland Timbers on Sunday.

Altidore has not been starting for Toronto FC but somehow he is scoring again. In the last two games he has come off the bench and has scored three goals. Klinsmann will call him but will be expecting the veteran to produce more. A solid camp might make him a starter.

However, Zardes and Johansson will be leading the pack to start against Peru. They have experience and are in better shape to start over an injured Dempsey and a benched Altidore.

The dark horse to start in his first call up to the senior level is Wooten. In six games he has scored five times for his club in 2. Bundesliga. The 6'1" striker will be looking to make an impression in his first camp.

With these players the Yanks will get a draw against the Peruvians and lose to Brazil. The U.S. will enter the October Confederations Cup playoff match on a bad note. This might force Klinsmann to make more changes to his selection.

The return of Robbie Rogers to the USMNT might happen. Also the end of the Brooks and Alvarado experiment will be pressured to bring it to a sudden halt. Also introducing Ethan Finlay will be a nice a surprise. It will provide the U.S. a real winger for a change.

However, let’s wait and see who Klinsmann choices to play against Peru at RFK Stadium and then at Gillette Stadium when they host Brazil.
