Jose Nestor Pekerman finalized the list of players traveling to the United States for the Copa America Centenario. There are a couple of changes from the 23 players that took part in the most recent World Cup Qualifiers

Continuance of a reformed Colombia

Los Cafeteros will be without many experienced players, notably the likes of Radamel Falcao, Teofilo Gutierrez, Macnelly Torres, Jackson Martinez, and Fredy Guarin, as Pekerman continues to leave them off of the roster. The Argentine coach also elected to leave out names from the most recent qualifying matches against Bolivia and Ecuador such as Adrian Ramos, Eder Alvarez Balanta, and Luis Fernando Muriel.

Pekerman also elected to include young new faces who will most likely also take part in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Cristian Bonilla, Felipe Aguilar, and Roger Martinez have not made an appearance yet with the senior squad and will be looking to gain experience with the senior side that will hopefully benefit them in Rio.

It will be James Rodriguez that will lead Colombia and it will most likely be Carlos Bacca that will be the lone man up top for Pekerman's side. Pekerman will most likely go with a 4-2-3-1 formation which has been a success in their last two games. The choice of a lone striker has proved to work fine as Bacca has been the catalyst for Colombia's scoring.

The players will begin training with the national team on March 22nd and will later play a friendly match in preparation for the Copa America against Hati in Marlins Park on May 29th.

Pekerman and Co. will be looking forward to the tournament's opening match in Santa Clara where they will be up against the United States on June 3rd before playing against Paraguay in Pasadena and Costa Rica in Houston in group play.
