The United State's Mens National Team defeated Ecuador 1-0 in their second to last friendly before the Copa America Centenario starts next week. Many stood out, from the starting XI to the substitutes. Here is how the rated throughout the night.

Despite early mistakes, defense holds firm

Brad Guzan (7/10): Guzan solidified himself as the number one goalkeeper in this match. He was quick off his line to smother any impending danger and made some good reaction saves off of deflections as well.

Fabian Johnson (6/10): Left back is not Johnson's primary position but he had a solid night defending on the flank.

John Anthony Brooks (7/10): Brooks has improved tremendously throughout the 2015/16 season. That showed as he made a great last ditch tackle and a key block too.

Steve Birnbaum (5/10): Unfortunately, Birnbaum did not have the best of nights. He was shakey at the beginning but improved as the match wore.

DeAndre Yedlin (6/10): One of the biggest performers on the night was Yedlin. The relegation battle with Sunderland improved his defending skills leaps and bounds and that showed with his one versus one defending.

Midfield lacks balance

Kyle Beckerman (6/10): Beckerman did a solid job of defending in front of the back four.

Jermaine Jones (6/10): Jones has been in good form with the Colorado Rapids this season but did not do much going forward for the US other than a shot from distance.

Michael Bradley (6/10): After the halftime break, Bradley moved back to a role in front of the defensive block and did a solid distributing from a deeper position.

Lack of consistency hurts forwards

Gyasi Zardes (6/10): Zardes keeps improving each time he puts on the USMNT kit, but his touches on this night let him down a couple of times.

Clint Dempsey (5/10): Dempsey was fairly invisible throughout his time on the pitch. He will surely be disappointed by his performance.

Graham Zusi (6/10): Zusi had a good solid night all around, he passed well and got back to defend.

Substitutes provide spark

Bobby Wood (7/10): Wood had a great season in Germany and provided the assist for Nagbe's goal.

Darlington Nagbe (8/10): Nagbe scored his first international goal against Ecuador and sealed the victory for his country.

Christian Pusilic (6/10): The young American put in a good shift, he added fresh legs and closed Ecuador down high up the pitch.

Alejandro Bedoya (5/10): Bedoya did not really make a statement when brought onto as a substitute.

Michael Besler (N/A): Besler was not on the pitch long enough to make an impact.

Michael Orozco (N/A): Orozco was not on the pitch long enough to make an impact.
