Real Madrid 2(5) - (4)2 Paris St. Germain.

Prediction: With Ronaldo out due to injury, Real Madrid will still find a way to defeat the French giants. Madrid will have to rely on Karim Benzema to get the goals they need in order to win this big matchup. PSG will equally play their best, seeing two goals from Cavani. The match will end in a draw, 2-2, with Madrid winning on penalty kicks, 5-4.

PSG is led by head coach Unai Emery. They will most likely line up in a 4-1-4-1 formation, with Edinson Cavani being the lone striker.

Areola; Aurier, Silva, Kimpembe, Maxwell; Callegari; Moura, Stambouli, Rabiot, Ikone; Cavani.

Here is the projected lineup for Les Rouge-et-Bleu.

Los Vikingos are coached by French legend Zinedine Zidane. They will most likely line up in the standard 4-4-2 formation.

Navas; Coentrao, Nacho, Marcelo, Danilo; Kovacic, Modric, Isco, Asensio; Jese, Benzema.

Here is the projected for both teams, starting with Real Madrid.

This past weekend, Paris St. Germain opened their 2016 ICC campaign against Inter Milan in Eugene, Oregon. PSG would go on to defeat Inter by a score of 3-1. Helping with that victory was Di Maria, who practically took over the team and singlehandedly caught Inter flat footed and out of shape for the remainder of the match.

The last time these two teams played against each other was during the UEFA Champions League group stage. The first match between the two saw a nil-nil draw, giving each team one point. In the second match, Real Madrid took the win, defeating the Ligue 1 champions by a score of 1-0.

Real Madrid on the other hand, are still unsure if Portuguese  international star Cristiano Ronaldo will make the trip. Some speculate he will after he took a hard knock in the Euro 2016 final against France. Ronaldo bumped legs with an opponent early in the game and had to be substituted off in the 21st minute of play.

PSG have had to deal without the Swedish international striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as he was sold to English giants Manchester United. However, they still have star power on the squad, including Argentine winger Angel Di Maria.

As referenced above, both PSG and Real have done really well in the ICC. But can they continue their success this year?

This year, fans all over the United States have a chance to see their favorite European clubs play in person. Teams participating in the US version of the tournament are FC Barcelona, FC Bayern Munich, Celtic FC, Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC, Inter Milan, Milan, Real Madrid, Paris St. Germain, and the cinderella English Premier League champions, Leicester City.

2013 United States Winner: Real Madrid (ESP). Runner Up: Chelsea FC (ENG).

2014 United States Winner: Manchester United (ENG). Runner Up: Liverpool FC (ENG).

2015 United States Winner: Paris St. Germain (FRA). Runner Up: New York Red Bulls (USA).

2015 Australia Winner: Real Madrid (ESP). Runner Up: Roma (ITA).

2015 China Winner: Real Madrid (ESP). Runner Up: Milan (ITA).

Here is a look at recent winners from all tournaments.

2014 changed how the group matches were played. The teams were split into non-geographical groups and played a round robin format with only one game played against each other in their respective group. Once each team had played three games, the top two in each group played to decide the winner of the tournament.

In 2013, when the tournament was founded, the ICC split the groups into “Eastern” and “Western” based on the locations of their group stage matches. They were not round-robin matches. However, the winners of first round matches went on to play each other in the second round, and so did the first round losers.

The format of the tournament is pretty simple. Eight teams are divided into two groups of four. Once all teams have played each other in their own groups, the ICC then combines all teams, in order to crown a champion, though, the format has been changed in each competition.

The tournament set a record in 2014 for the largest attendance at a soccer match in the United States, when Manchester United took on Real Madrid. The match was played in Ann Arbor, Michigan at The Big House, the University of Michigan's football stadium. The attendance saw 109,318 spectators show up for the match.

The International Champions Cup (ICC) is an exhibition club tournament. The ICC features club teams from Europe, playing against one another predominately in the United States, and some in Canada. Beginning in 2015, the tournament also began reaching out to other countries such as China, and Australia. The ICC was founded in 2013.
