The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals have
taken a strong hold on the division since 2013. In the 2018 there could be a
change of the guard and introduce a new champion in the much-improved Milwaukee
Reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta and Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale have led both Chicago clubs to the top of their leagues in the early season. The two have combined for a 9-0 record and a 1.30 ERA though the first month of baseball while giving the city of Chicago something to cheer about early on.
After a poor showing in 2015, the Reds have now parted ways with both Todd Frazier and Aroldis Chapman. With that being said, it probably won't get better this season. 2016 will probably be all about getting some young guys up and getting to know them in Cincy.
