Former Cardinal pitcher John Lackey impressed Monday night in his return to Busch Stadium in St Louis. Lackey sent down 11 Cardinals and helped the Cubs improve to a historic 10-3 record to start the season.
The Chicago Cubs look to improve to 3-0 this Thursday when they begin a four game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Newly acquired Cub, John Lackey, will make his first ever start as member of the Chicago Cubs.
Pittsburgh was second in both the NL Central and the entire MLB last regular season. Some would say that they aren't the sexiest of teams overall, but they get the job done and the could have the best outfield in all of baseball. After parting ways with many big league level players this off-season, it will be interesting to see if the Pirates are still at a level to compete for the toughest division in baseball yet again.
