Best Buy recently announced that it will be selling the Apple Watch starting August 7th.

Apple's first crack at the wearable device world will begin being sold in 100 Best Buy retail stores and everywhere. They will then go on to step two, which is giving the Watches to 200 more stores by the holidays.

Customers will be able to try on, see, and interact with 16 models of the Watch. There was mention of the ability to interact with Sport and Watch models, but no mention of the Edition. This doesn't come as a surprise, as they start at $10,000 USD and go up to $17,000 USD. The models displayed will include both 38mm and 42mm models, and the store will sell nearly 50 accessories, which include watch bands, screen shields, chargers, and stands.

"The Apple Watch is a big addition to our stores and website, and we know our customers want it," said Jason Bonfig, Senior Category Officer at Best Buy. "We are excited to bring the Apple Watch to more consumers, especially with the holidays coming up."

The customer demand is hard to put a number on, though. Just last week, Apple neglected to share Apple Watch sales figures in its quarterly financial report, stating that they didn't want competitors to use the information. However, one may notice that sales in the "Other" category that the Watch was grouped in have gone up $952 million from the previous quarters. Analysts seem to be assuming that is all due to the Watch and it's various accessories, although this number would be just over half of the predicted $1.8 billion USD that many analysts had projected Apple to gain in revenue.
