The second generation of the popular Moto 360 smartwatch has finally arrived.

The watch is under the same name as its predecessor, but the new smartwatch has been unofficially referred to as the Moto 360 2.

The new watch comes in two edititons: the standard Moto 360 and the Moto 360 Sport, which comes rubberized. The standard 360 also comes in two "collections" - the Men's collection and the Women's collection.

Men's collection

The Men's collection comes in two sizes - 42mm and 46mm, with the 46mm costing an extra $50.

As for color options, the case comes in Silver, Gold, and Black, with Gold running you $30 extra.

Also customizable is the bezel, but in addition to the same color customization, you can also customize the texture. You can either get the standard smooth bezel or the ridged "Micro Knurl" bezel, which adds an upcharge of $20.

The band comes in either leather or metal, with metal costing an additional $50.

Women's collection

The Women's collection comes in only one size, 42mm.

The color options for the case include Silver, Rose Gold, and Gold, with the latter two costing $30 extra.

The bezel comes in the same color options and gives the choices of either a smooth or "Micro Cut" texture. The Micro Cut costs an additonal $20.

The band gives three options - either the standard leather, double-wrap leather ($10 extra), or metal ($50 extra).

Hardware and software

Inside the watches is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, an Adreno 305 with 450MHz, 512mb of RAM and 4gb of storage.

It also features Moto Body, which allows the watch to measure steps taken, calorie burn, and heart rate. Also announced was Live Dials, a feature similar to Apple Watch's Complications, which provides you with important info (such as weather) from the watch face.

The 42mm watch features a 360x325 pixel resolution with 263ppi, while the 46mm watch features a 360x330 pixel resolution with 233ppi.

As for the dimensions, the 42mm watch is 42x11.4mm, and the 46mm is 46x11.4mm.

The 42mm watch packs a 300mAh battery and the 46mm watch a 400mAh battery. Both are charged with a wireless dock. As for connectivity, they both feature Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g.

Both watches also pack an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, heart rate monitor, and gyroscope. They are also IP67 dust and water-resistant.

Both watches run on Android Wear and are compatible with Android devices running Android 4.3 or later, as well as iPhone 5 and up running iOS 8.2 or later.

Perhaps one of the biggest changes is the movement of the button from the 3:00 position to the 2:00 position.
