The League Season 6 Episode 9: Taco Standard Time
Vahan Shakhpazyan-VAVEL USA

It’s Taco standard time not daylight saving time in Wednesday’s all new episode of The League.

Ruxin has two tickets to the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers game and is willing to take one person with him. When an old friend, Lane, pays a visit to the fellas, Ruxin “gives” the tickets to him. After Lane tries to commit suicide, Ruxin wants to recover his tickets so they don’t go to waste. Ruxin visits Lane at the hospital and asks for his tickets, but Lane tells him to read his 13-page suicide note first.

Meanwhile, Taco dislikes the idea of daylight saving time and invents a new time, Taco standard time. Taco takes it upon himself to change all the times on the clock at the MacArthur house. Because of Taco’s craziness, Kevin is late to work, but his boss, Mr. Lipscum, forgives him when he finds out that Kevin has a suicidal friend and has been going through a tough time because of it.

In the meantime, Andre is dealing with his vicious cat, M’Lady, and obtains scratches all over his arms and neck thanks to M’Lady. When Andre goes to Kevin’s office to show Kevin an embarrassing video of M’Lady violently attacking him in an elevator, Mr. Lipscum walks in and sees the scratches on Andre’s arms and assumes that he is Kevin’s suicidal friend. Mr. Lipscum then invites a doctor over to Kevin’s office to subdue Andre and take him to a group therapy.

All the while, Ruxin tries to get Pete to read Lane’s suicidal note with him, but the two are discouraged from reading his lengthy note. Instead, Pete takes the note to his workplace and has his coworker, Jeremy, read it for him. When Jeremy reads the note, he thinks that Pete wrote it and hands it to their boss, who feels bad for Pete and tells him to take time off from work.

When Lane tweets his final goodbye to the fellas, Ruxin and Pete rush over to his location to make sure he does not kill himself. Instead, they find Lane smoking pot in his car with Taco, who has decided to invest in Lane’s Lunar Madness. Lane decides to give one of the football game tickets to Taco and the other to Pete, leaving Ruxin costless to have brunch with him, and the idea of it annoys Ruxin.
