In Wednesday night’s season finale of The League, the crew prepares for the playoffs. Andre is matched up against Russell, while Pete and Ruxin are matched up against each other.

The season finale features two episodes. During the first episode, Menage A Cinq, Andre’s new restaurant is set to make its debut to the world, so he is more focused on that than his fantasy team. Meanwhile, the crew wants Andre to win, so they try to find ways to distract Russell.

Since Russell used to be a sex addict, Kevin takes him to the EBDBBnB to try to entice him with beautiful women, but Russell doesn’t buy into it.

In the meantime, Pete hooks up with one of Andre’s patience, Emma, who just had plastic surgery on her face and breasts and is desperately looking for a sex partner. However, Pete fails to get into the mood, as all he could think about is Andre and the medical procedures he performed on this girl. Pete runs out on Emma, who, instead, takes interest in Russell.

Eventually, Emma convinces Russell to have sexual intercourse with her, thus forcing Russell to become a sex addict again. With Russell being distracted by Emma, he forgets to set his lineup, which leads to Andre’s victory and trip to the Shiva Bowl. On the other end of things, Ruxin defeats Pete and enters the championship round to face Andre.

The second episode, The Beach House, begins where the first one left off. Backtracking to the season premiere, the crew is playing for Ted’s beach house, and one of his representatives, Fredrick, organizes a trip for the crew to visit the beach house during the Shiva Bowl.

At the beach, Kevin, who is playing in the Sacko Bowl for a second straight year, tries to convince his opponent, Taco, to purposely lose. However, Taco, who has very little interest in the league, decides to make Kevin work for his victory.

All the while, Jenny spends her last few hours with the Shiva trophy and in the end, she lies to the group that the trophy has been washed away by a huge wave current.

The entire crew wants Andre to beat Ruxin in the Shiva Bowl, as they offer to help Andre in exchange for a month at the beach house if he wins. Ruxin notices the help that Andre is receiving from everyone and calls them out on cheating. In addition, Ruxin fixes his lineup but forgets to hit “set lineup” to make it official. He fails to set his lineup but highly believes that he actually clicked the “set lineup” button. To sort out all this mess and get an official ruling, Fredrick brings in former head of NFL officiating, Mike Correra.

After hearing all sides and looking through proof, Mike Correra decides to rule in Andre’s favor, disregarding everything Ruxin says. Ruxin’s shortcomings lead to Andre’s victory, and we have a new champion. As for the Sacko, Kevin ends up avoiding it, and Taco becomes the new winner (or loser) of the Sacko trophy.

To celebrate his triumph, Andre has bought some fireworks and sets them off. Unfortunately, one of the fireworks spirals out of control and lands on top of the beach house and sets it on fire. The crew watches from a distance, as the house burns down in flames.

It seemed to be Andre’s year, as he went from Tefl-Andre to opening up a wine restaurant to the Shiva Bowl champion. Ultimately, with his bad luck, Andre lost the beach house he earned with the victory and what’s more, the Shiva trophy that was supposedly washed out by the ocean was actually inside the house all along, and that got burned as well.

So what does Andre have to show for his championship? Nothing. The League will return next September, as season six has come to a close.

Episodes 12 & 13 – Overall Grade: 8.7/10
