The players take to the court!

The covers are off!

Due to rain, the match has been suspended. It looks like a passing shower.

It's nearly time for the continuation of this five set fourth round match. The players will be taking to Court 1 shortly.

The first two sets displayed the best of Anderson's abilities had to offer while the final two sets showed off what makes Djokovic the world number one. What will the fifth set bring on Tuesday, also known as Ladies Quarterfinal Day. The men are crashing the party on the day reserved for only the ladies, but duty calls. With no tiebreaks in the fifth set here at Wimbledon, a long, enduring fifth set will leave Marin Cilic, the quarterfinal opponent for the winner of this matchlicking his chops as he dusted off the final American male in Denis Kudla in four sets.

In his opening service game of the fourth set, Djokovic had to fight off of a couple of deuces before holding. After that, he proceeded to break for a 3-1 lead. The games started to move quickly soon after and all of a sudden, Djokovic would take the fourth set 6-4 to level the match at two sets apiece. After winning the set, the Serb let out his emotions with a scream as play was halted due to darkness.

The third set began and no one was thinking it could be possible that we saw Djokovic downed in straight sets. He made sure it was not going to happen. He came back from 30-15 down on the South African's serve to take a two-love lead in the set and did not look back. Anderson only held serve once as Djokovic kept pounding the ball down his throat in addition to the pressure of the biggest win of his career looming getting to the South African. Another break of serve in the set and it was 6-1 to the defending champ at the All England Club

In the fourth game of the second set, the 14th seed struck again, this time with the first break of serve in the match. Djokovic was looking extremely tense as the big man was serving for a commanding 4-1 lead in the set. After a long, tense game, Anderson wilted as he showed signs of nerves with a double faults and a couple of unforced errors to gift the break back. Holds dominated until the 12th game as the Serb was looking to force it into yet another tiebreaker. He staved off a couple of break points to force another breaker where he was looking to get in control. After flying out to a 4-0 lead, the world number one gave one of the two mini-breaks back on a double fault. With Djokovic serving up 5-4, Anderson made a fantastic stab drop shot volley winner to get the second mini break back as the crowd looked to be getting behind the big man. The South African picked up his level of play once again at the end of the tiebreak taking it 8-6 for the second straight set and led two sets to love on the defending champion. Could the world number one turn it around?

The opening set was rarely saw any break point chances. Both men stuck to their guns on their service games and went into a tiebreaker. That's where the fun began. Both men traded mini-breaks early on in the tiebreaker after some brilliant shotmaking from both of them. At 6-5 in the breaker, the South African had set point but the Serb saved it. On the next point, the world number one double faulted to give Anderson a second set point but on his racket this time around. He delivered with a 137 MPH ace out wide as murmurs about a potential upset were looming. This set was where we witnessed Anderson's fantastic footwork training help. In this set, he was more than three feet behind the baseline only 3 percent of the time in rallies. That meant he was right on or inside the baseline looking to attack early and pounce.

One of the most improved aspects of the South African's game is his fitness. For years it looked like he was a bit slow moving laterally, but shedding a few pounds and practicing on that footwork training has really paid dividends.

Big serving South African Kevin Anderson is amongst one of the best servers on tour, up there with John IsnerIvo Karlovic,  and Milos Raonic. All these men stand at 6'5'' plus and just power down serves like it's no tomorrow. The 14 seed dropped sets in his first two matches against Lucas Pouille and Marsel Ilhan, but his finest display was against Leonardo Mayer, winning in straight sets.

What made Djokovic the clear-cut favorite in this was that he was the world's greatest returner. According to statistics, the world number one has returned over 70 percent of first serves coming his way. A phenomenal stat. Even getting remotely close to that against Kevin Anderson would mean that this match was in his hands.

After missing out on a career Grand Slam after Stan Wawrinka played the match of his life to win the title at the French Open, some were worried if Novak Djokovic could recover mentally. The Serb is an absolute warrior coming back from multiple heartbreaking defeats to deal some heartbreaking victories to others.

Coming into the match, world number one Novak Djokovic was coming in as the heavy favorite. Despite not having played a warmup tournament like his South African counterpart, the Serb was getting comfortable on the grass after just three matches and overcame some tricky opponents. He faced an unlucky Philipp Kohlschreiber in the first round. The German was unlucky as he was ranked 33rd just missing out on the seeds. Late breaks for the world number one in each game sealed the deal. After that, cruise control against Finland's Jarkko Nieminen and 27th-seeded Bernard Tomic proved to be to be a miniscule challenge for the world number one.
