Andy Murray has won the title at Queen's four times, which puts him level with players such as John McEnroe. But the British number one is looking to do something that no one in the Open Era has done, by winning a record fifth title.

Murray's Current Record At Queen's

Murray made his Queen's Club debut in 2005, however it was not until 2009 that he reached his first final, winning his first Queen's title in front of his home crowd.

In the seven years since his first win, the 28-year-old has reached the final at Queen's three more times. Each of the times he has reached the final he has ended up winning the championship. The most recent title came last year, with a straight sets victory over Kevin Anderson.

With this victory the British number one, moved level on Queen's Club championship wins with some of the greatest names in tennis. When asked about being in the company of these players, Murray said that, "The names that have won it four times, they are all great tennis players."

The British Number 1 Aims To Create A New Record

Since 1969, no man has managed to win Queen's more than four times. This is a feat that the world number two could achieve if he wins the tournament again this year.

After confirming he will be competing in the tournament this season, the British number one was quoted saying, "if I could win it for a fifth time it would be amazing." There is no doubt that this could be achieved, especially as he will have the backing of the home crowd, and his record of winning the title in every final he has reached.

Murray always plays well at Queen's, and the world number two admits that he's played some of the best tennis of his career at the tournament. With this, all eyes will be on the Brit this summer in the hope that he can create a bit of history.
