Day six of the Grand Prix Hassan II saw two final spot up for grabs. Argentine Federico Delbonis faced Albert Montanes, while Next Gen star Borna Coric faced eight seed Jiri Vesely of Czech Republic. The 19-year old was aiming to book his spot in the final and have a crack at winning the title.

Federico Delbonis Books Spot in Final

Fourth seed Federico Delbonis booked his spot in the final with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Spaniard Albert Montanes in one hour 20 minutes. The 25-year was broken in his opening service game, but Montanes couldn't consolidate as he gifted the break straight back to the Argentine. Montanes had a chance to go ahead in the set with a break point chance at 3-3, 30-40, but Delbonis saved the break point and held. Both players continued to hold, and with Montanes serving at 4-5, Delbonis needed only one set point to break and take the opening set.

The second set started with two holds of serve. In the third game of the set, Montanes had break point chances at advantage, but Delbonis didn't give him a chance as he saved them and held to stay infront. The sixth game saw the only break of the set, which came the way of the form player in this match at 40-15. Both players continued to hold and the Argentine was serving for a place in the final. The 25-year old reached his first match point at 40-15, but Montanes saved the first before Delbonis ultimately took his chances on his second match point and booked his spot in the final. 

Borna Coric gets Second shot at ATP Maiden World Tour Title  

Borna Coric got the early break for 2-0, but eighth seed Jiri Vesely got quickly back on serve within the next game. With both players continuing to hold serve, the opening set went the way of the tiebreaker. Coric found the breakthrough at the perfect time, getting the mini-break at 6-5. The Croat would have a chance to serve it out. He clinched the first set 7-6(5) against his Czech opponent. The Croat had saved a break point at 30-40, 6-5. 

Vesely was looking to avenge his first set loss and quickly raced away to a 0-3 lead, but Coric didn't panic and recovered nicely to get back on level terms. The remainder of the set saw three breaks of serve with Vesely saving two of them. The set would go the same way as the first, to a tiebreaker. The 19-year old got the mini-break at 4-3 and secured victory on his second match point. The Croat is looking to become the first teenage titilist on the ATP World Tour since his fellow countryman Marin Cilic won the New Haven title in 2008.
