Lucha Underground is the buzz of the pro wrestling industry and tonight's episode showed why. Not only did we get a glimpse at the always-luscious Catrina but there was an amazing six man tag and the Lucha belt on the line. Just another night of highflying brain busting business as usual in the temple and we finally find out that Ms. Fong is there looking for someone. Is it Johnny Mundo, El Patron? Or maybe someone we don’t know on the roster. Whatever the case we would not be the ones she is after.

The first match of Lucha Underground saw a rematch between Mil Muertes and Fenix. The last time the high flyer faced the force that is Mil it ended with Muertes securing a victory and it gave him the final spot in the Aztec Warrior match. The match went as expected early with Mil holding the clear power advantage. With the sexy Catrina looking on it seemed as if the masked powerhouse was on his way to another Lucha Underground victory. Completely out character Mil took to the top rope for a suplex but his awkward landing caused him to roll over and with Fenix on top for the quick pin. It was not to much of a stretch to see Fenix win as we feel one day he will see Prince Puma and possibly take his Lucha title. For Mil, we are ready to see a feud start for him, which could possibly happen with Blue Demon Jr. looking to make his comeback.

The second match almost stole the night if it was not for impending title match later in the episode. It was a traditional six-man tag team, which is something you would consistently see in their parent organization AAA Luchalibre. The bout was between the Crew (Bael, Mr. Cisco and Cortez Castro), against Aerostar, Superfly and Argenis. Call it the masks verse thugs match and for those that thought the crew outside of Castro has no true wrestling ability, we advise you to check this match. It was truly a fight that provided the essence of Lucha Underground and what really makes the promotion stand out. Aerostar pulled off moves that would have Eddie Guerrero applauding in his grave. It was really difficult to tell how the match would as all the fighters put on a hell of a performance but it was the crew who prevailed. This is good for their newfound freedom from Big Ryck. They better watch their backs though because when the big man returns they are in for some trouble.

After an awesome Cage promo we witnessed another interview with Vampiro. This time he was speaking with Prince Puma and Konnan. The interview was perfect as it played out in the only way it could. Konnan answered every question for Puma, which pissed off Vampiro to the point where the two of them were about to fight. Where else would you see that? I hear there are some issues with Vampiro that management is not too happy with but come on this guy is perfect for this setting. He is the “exact” opposite of Matt Striker and that is fine by us. Hopefully they can get that sorted out because these interviews are golden.

That leads us to main match of the night. Cage faced off against Prince Puma. Puma once again had to put his newly won title on the line. Puma initiated the battle not allowing Cage to get settled. He soon was overpowered and flipped, suplexed and thrown all around the cage. Don’t you dare call this machine one dimension as Cage hit a beautiful moonsault on Puma late in the match. Frustrated at being unable to finish the masked fighter Cage pushed the ref then threw a low blow to Puma. That match was called for DQ but that was not the end of Cage not only did he continue the assault on Prince but it extended to Konnan as well. After Cage hit Konnan he ripped it in half a ‘la Billy Graham. Clearly the title means nothing to him as Cage is clearly only there to dominate.
