Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz

Smackdown once again is all about business as it opened up with a singles match between The Miz and Daniel Bryan. Before the match started there was a confrontation between The Miz and his personal assistant Mizdow. Looks like having a stunt double is starting to get old for the self proclaimed movie star. Miz sent his personal assistant away from ringside to go fetch an Egyptian cotton towel. Daniel Bryan would win the match by making The Miz tap out to the Yes! lock. Mizdow arrived back at ringside just in time to wipe the forehead of The Miz.

Ryback vs. Corporate Kane

Next up on the card was a match between Ryback and Kane. Kane brought a lot to the table but it was Ryback who would win. Ryback delivered a Shell Shocked out of nowhere on his corporate foe.

Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose made an appearance by joining the announce team during a match between Bad News Barrett and R-Truth. Unlike Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose didn’t need to cause a commotion to be a distraction for his Fastlane opponent. Ambrose simply turned his back on the match and it was enough to get the attention of Barrett and R-Truth the win.

New Day vs. The Ascension

New Day made their way to the ring for a match against The Ascension. The New Day is slowly getting over with the fans. They should really work on their entrance, maybe change their music. The crowd has yet to get on their feet for these guys. Xavier Woods and Big E Langston went against Konner and Viktor in a match that seemed to have been victorious for the positive pair. Just as Big E went for a Big Splash on Viktor, but Viktor countered. The Ascension double teamed Big E with a Fall of Man for the pin fall.

Roman Reigns vs. Luke Harper

Next up was a singles match between Roman Reigns and Luke Harper. Luke Harper proved himself a decent competitor in this match as the fans didn’t see the same performance they always see from Reigns. Given all of the athleticism in this match, it wasn’t enough for Harper to pull a win over Reigns. Reigns speared his opponent to the mat and got the pin. Let’s see if Reigns can do the same this Sunday.

Big Show vs. Erik Rowan

Looks like the tension between Team Authority and Team Cena is still here as Big Show attacked Erik Rowan before he could enter the ring for their match. Big Show sent his opponent onto the mat after delivering a Chokeslam. Did the WWE Universe accept the message that Big Show was trying to send?

Paige vs. Cameron

Paige found herself in a match against Cameron, in her regular ring gear. With the Bella Twins at ringside Paige was more than capable of staying focus on her match. Paige won via submission after making Cameron tap out to the PTO. Afterwards Paige invited Nikki to step in the ring but the Divas Champion ignored the gesture and walked backstage with her sister.

Stardust

In an interview backstage with Renee Young Gold Dust was asked about change in attitude of his brother Cody. Gold Dust answerd Renee’s question saying that Stardust was just a cancer and that he wants his brother Cody back. Stardust interrupted the interview via camera. Stardust left a bizarre message for his brother about this Sunday’s pay-per-view.

Jimmy Uso vs. Tyson Kidd

Next up in the ring was a match between Jimmy Uso and Tyson Kidd. Given the fact that Kidd avoided much action against one half of the Tag Team Champions, it was time for the fans to see what he had going into the PPV this Sunday. Unfortunately for the fans, the match was interrupted by Rusev who entered the ring and started attacking both competitors. It would be Jimmy  Uso who received the brunt end of the attack as Kidd escaped the ring and retreated backstage as fast as he could.

Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler

The night’s main event was between Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler with J&J security barred from ringside. Instead it would be Ryback and Rowan at ringside for Ziggler and Kane and Big Show at ringside for Rollins. The odds seemed even for Ziggler now that he had people in his corner, but due to a distraction from Kane, Seth Rollins would get the win.

Afterwards J&J security walked out from backstage and took orders from Rollins. The members of the Authority surrounded the ring while Ziggler laid weaken in the center and his buddies stood tall over him. The Authority was planning an attack. Rowan and Ryback went after Show and Kane first while the other Authority members stepped inside the ring and attacked. As a result of this five on three beat down there will be a six man tag team match this Sunday at Fastlane between Rollins, Kane, Big Show, Ziggler, Rowan, and Rowan.
