The show opens with Areostar against Drago in the third match of their best of five series.  They both currently have one win and the first two matches were amazing.  The winner of this series gets Dario’s special opportunity.

It’s obvious they are trying to have a different match tonight as they start with a lot of ground exchanges.  Aerostar lands a nice senton splash on Drago’s back, but only gets a two count.  They both explode off the ropes and hit a flying body press on each other in mid air.  Aerostar lands a spring board dead man drop onto Drago on the outside.  It’s the best move of the match so far.

Both of these guys have great movement and it makes the match hard to look away from.  Drago hits a twirling slam, but only gets a two count.  Aerostar executes a double foot stomp while Drago is caught in the turnbuckles, insane spot.  Drago hits a corkscrew to the outside.  Drago then hits a running powerbomb, but doesn’t go for the cover.  Aerostar walks the middle rope and hits a huge Frankensteiner.  He then hits his diving splash from the top rope to get the three count.  They shake hands as Aerostar now has the lead in the series.

This was a great match.  They started slower and built the pace, which is something a lot of matches involving great workers lack at times.  Many talents simply go to fast, but these two understand pace.  There were also a ton of reversals and missed moves, which was a sign they are getting to know each other.  It must be assumed this will go down to the final match and it should be the best one.  This was a great way to open the show.

The show comes off break with a promo of Konan playing chess and showing off his new cast iron rod cane.  Konan speaks about chess and having a strategy for battle.  It’s revealed in the end he’s playing chess with Puma.

The Crew are up next and they have to take on Big Ryck by himself.  The odds feel stacked against the crew.  Ryck has his eye patch back on.  It’s been amazing how much mileage LU has gotten out of Ryck versus how little the WWE did.

First big move is a DDT on Ryck where Cisco lands a double stomp on his back to make it more powerful.  Ryck gets the kendo stick and takes out everyone.  He then hits a slam on Bale and eliminates him.  Ryck hits a double suplex on Cisco and Cortez.  Ryck takes the broken part of the kendo stick and hits Cortez with it to gain a three count over him.  Cisco tries to run away as he doesn’t want to be one on one with Ryck, but Sexy Starr blocks his escape.  Cisco is busted open and Ryck sets up a chair in the ring.  Ryck lands a disgusting looking Rock Bottom on Cisco threw the chair.  Ryck gets the last pinfall to end the match.

It was a solid match and probably the finish to an angle that was better than most thought it could be.  It will be interesting to see where Big Ryck goes from here.

They run a promo for next week.  Texano and Alberto will battle for the AAA title in a bull rope match.  Puma and Cage will battle in a street fight for the LU title. Yet another great show planned.

Next up is the grave consequences match.  It starts with a strange crew of people painted up to look like death bringing out the coffin.  LU has spiced everything up here.  Mil is out first and he has his sacred rock with him.  Fenix is out next with Catrina and she looks amazing as usual.

Mil hits a dive on Fenix before the bell even rings and they battle on the outside.  Fenix eventually nails a flip over the top onto Mil.  It’s an excellent spot.  The casket is knocked off its place holder.  Mil uses the decorative flower arrangements to beat up Fenix.

Fenix DDT’s Mil on the edge of the casket.  The pace of this match is very fast.  Fenix goes for a dive through the ropes and Mil uses the coffin to block him and Fenix hits it head first in mid air.  Mil rips Fenix’s mask apart, but it’s still partially on.  Mil disconnects the bottom rope and takes part of the metal turnbuckle and smashes Fenix with it.  Fenix is bleeding and his mask is almost completely off.  Mil has been portrayed as a monster heel, but this is the first time he looks totally dominant.

They battle up the stairs and end up on top of a platform.  Fenix ends up taking a bump off a heating unit and tumbles down through the crowd.  Mil power bombs Fenix onto the announce table, but it does not break.  The crowd is nuts for this and with good reason.

Mil brings the casket into the ring.  This is probably why he removed the bottom rope.  He sets it up in the corner.  Fenix gets in some offense, but Mil lands an overhead belly to belly onto the casket, awesome spot.  Mil bites the open head wound on Fenix’s head.

Fenix somehow lands a super kick, but it only slows Mil for a second.  Mil catches Fenix on the top rope and then hits a reverse code breaker on Fenix from the top rope.  Mil is showing he can work and isn’t just a big guy.  Fenix is really gushing blood.  They battle back into the crowd where Mil continues his onslaught.

Fenix lands a 360 splash onto Mil.  It only has a short term effect on Mil who ends up tossing Fenix into the guard rail on the outside.  Fenix hits a superkick and yet another 360 splash.  Mil has finally been slowed a little.  Mil misses a clothesline on Fenix and hits Catrina.  Mil gets caught by a kick to the back of the head.  They get back into the ring where Mil bites Fenix again.

Mil tries to get back in the ring, but Fenix catches him with some blows as he stand on the apron above the casket.  Catrina opens the coffin.  Fenix hits a double stomp onto the back of Mil, which sends him into the casket.  Catrina licks the stone and tosses it in as she slams the coffin shut.  The dead people return to take away the casket.  Is this the end of Mil?  It is the end of the show.

If you watch one match this year then this is the one to see.  It was insane.  The action was excellent.  Mil really dominated and established himself as a super heel, but he loses in the end.  It’s probably the end of his run in LU for now.  Fenix is established as something special and his partnership with Catrina makes him dangerous.  This was a four star plus match, but will have to be watched again to determine how many close to five star it was.

The main event was so good that this show gets an A.  This was clearly one of the best efforts by LU so far.  It will be hard to top.  The great storytelling in the final match and the dominance of Mil were fun to watch.  In the end maybe the wrong guy won.

In the end we get a promo for next week’s street fight for the title between Cage and Puma.  Dario appears to have commissioned a new title that looks way more prestigious.  This match promises to be very special as this show rarely doesn’t deliver.
