Sting Vs. Undertaker At Summer Slam?

For the past few days everyone was buzzing at the rumors, that wrestling legends Undertaker and Sting are going to return at WWE Battleground. Hyping up for a showdown at WWE Summer Slam. If that is going to happened here is my opinion of how it should go down. Also a rundown of both superstars and their both legendary careers.

Ever since arriving in the WWE in the 1990s, Undertaker has done everything that anyone could do in the company. He has been WWE Champion four times, World Heavyweight Champion once, World Tag Team Champions six times, and Hardcore Champion once. He has one of the greatest WrestleMania streaks winning 21 straight WrestleMania . Brock Lesnar broke his WrestleMania streak last year at Mania ending the streak at 21-1.  

Undertaker has been a fan favorite ever since becoming a superstar in the company; he always knew how to get the crowd on his side. He is most likely a first ballot hall of famer, sadly Taker does not have a lot of years left because of his age. Next year would be possibilities of his last ever match at Mania, since it is in his hometown of Texas and it is in one of the largest arena in the world Cowboy Stadium.

Sting on the other hand never ever stepped into a WWE ring until this year.  Over the past 20 plus years. He has made his name known all over the world becoming a legend in his own right. Winning the  WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times,  WCW International World Heavyweight Championship  two times, NWA World Heavyweight Championship once, and TNA World Heavyweight Championship four times.

Sting has always been known as someone who always wears face paint, when he in the ring at all times. It is part of his gimmick and it been a part of him for the past 20 plus years. He always had a special connection with the crowd at all times. There is no wonder why this guy will always be one of the greatest superstars, to ever step foot in a wrestling ring in any decade.

Now with the rumors that Sting and Undertaker will return at Battleground, to hype up a match at Summer Slam. That would be a good idea WWE needs something like this, to get the fans interested in the product again. Since the network buys have not been good as of late, they need something like this to increase the sales of the Network.

One thing that the WWE could do at Battleground would be have Undertaker, interfere in the WWE Championship match at Battleground including Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar. Helping one of the guys win the match. One option would be helping Rollins that would be turning the legend heel. Which might not be a bad idea since Sting is already a mega face.

The next night on Raw Undertaker could come out, telling the whole world what he did but then out of nowhere Sting would come out. That would increase ratings for the show; it would be obvious for those two to have a face to face stare off until Summer Slam. The company does not want either of them to get seriously hurt before the show.

If the rumors are true and they do compete at Slam, there are a couple of ways WWE could go with this. One way that they could go with this could be, having Undertaker beating Sting giving him no wins in his career in the company. Another rout would be having Undertaker lose to Sting, giving Sting his first win at a WWE event.

Either way the rumors has been speeding a lot during the past few days, we will not know what will happened until the day of Battleground, There might be a chance that they both return, and don’t face off against each other. But face off against other superstars like Taker could take on Seth Rollins or Brock Lesnar  and Sting could take on Bray Wyatt.

There are a lot of good things happening in the company, so this will be an interesting ride on the road to Summer Slam. Which will hopefully be an amazing show, with a great build up and amazing matches. We will have to wait and see what happens.

If this match does happen this will be a dream match for fans all over the world, the two legends are both old. So the company does not have a lot of time to book this matchup, so if Taker and Sting are both up to facing each other. Show no regret and make the match happen.
