Then only two Months later Crews won a battle royal to become the #1 Contender to the NXT Championship at October 8th NXT. He then received his title match against Finn Bálor on the October 22nd NXT. Crews won the match via disqualification but Bálor retained due to interference from Baron Corbin who harbored a grudge with Crews for eliminating him from the battle royal.

Crews and Corbin then had a match at NXT: Takeover London in which Baron Corbin was victorious. Crews had a small feud with Elias Samson after he saved Johnny Gargano from Elias' assault on the March 23 NXT which culminated in a match on April 6th which Crews won.

Apollo hits the main roster like a Crews Missile

On the April 4th, 2016 RAW Apollo Crews made his main roster debut when he defeated Tyler Breeze. Crews then began a series of matches with the Social Outcasts. He defeated every member of the group. Crews agreed to join the Social Outcasts if any member of the stable could beat him. As part of the agreement, the Social Outcasts also agreed to leave Crews alone, should he be victorious in the match. Crews then went on to defeat Heath Slater to end the feud.

Since then he has been toiling on both Main Event and Superstars. This could all stem from the fact that there are no big plans for Apollo Crews after his debut on the main WWE roster. Many fans believe that Apollo Crews has been rushed since he joined WWE and it is hard to argue that fact as within two months of his debut he had been given an NXT title match and then he was shot up to the main roster. Now WWE has no plans for him. This is sad to see as Crews has huge potential to become a massive star in WWE.
