Today it was announced that the man-beast Brock Lesnar will be on the cover of WWE 2K17. It was released that people can now preorder the game and get ready to play the most realistic installment of the WWE video game series.

What might this mean for the WWE in game mode this year?

Well, it means nothing, but this is just speculation from the past two years of the WWE games and what 2K have done with the game modes. For the past couple of years, it has been long story lines covering the major moments of the Attitude era and certain points of superstars' careers like WWE 2K14 was 30 years of WrestleMainia which covered the most famous matches of the first 29 WrestleMainias. Then they gave you WrestleMania 30 where you played as the Undertaker where you had defend or break the streak where he could pull tricks out of his sleeves like blacking out the screen or trick you into the Hell's Gate to end a match or grab a chokeslam whilst he lay on the ground.

WWE 2K15 highlighted the points of two major feuds in the WWE but with the feuds, one worked better than the other. The two feuds were John Cena vs CM Punk and Triple H - Shawn Michaels in which that feud fell on a little bit of trouble because Chris Benoit played a part in a small bit of that feud so some of the matches were cut short for obvious reasons.

This year's game, WWE 2K16, was none other than the Texas Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin and it was the whole of his Career from early WCW to the late part of his career where how he lost his mind in ECW and was the highest regarded wrestler in the world for a little bit.

The WWE 2K17 game could be the whole of the career of Brock Lesnar and some difficult quirks could slide in with this play through and that is his matches with CM Punk. They played a big part of his return fights and again some obvious reasons why this could spell trouble because he has been gone from the WWE since the Royal Rumble in 2014. But other than that one bump in the road, playing the match he fought against the Undertaker would be a really fun match to play a fun little animation they could do is have the Undertaker guy looking shocked in game mode.
