Tamina was last seen partnered with Naomi following the collapse of Team B.A.D (Beautiful and Dangerous) and before she could even establish herself as a singles star, she suffered an injury.

A torn ligament in her knee has kept her out of in ring action since, with her future still in doubt, but with the new era throwing chances to every superstar, where does she fit into the grand scheme of things?

Tamina status update

Tamina was one of the few women on the WWE roster that possessed a different look, which could and should have been the reason for a monumental push.

However, she was stuck between Naomi and Sasha Banks and often looked to as the outsider with few chances to showcase her ability in the ring.

Currently in terms of a return, she is edging her way back to full fitness as she kept her fans updated via instagram with an image of her working hard in the gym.

She used the caption "Every Week I'm getting closer to the GOAL!!! The guru of Physical Therapy @pwrhouse7 makes sure he pushes me to my limits."

While the caption does not inform the WWE Universe of any plans once she makes her return, one of the hash-tags she used may provide an insight as to where she will be performing every week.

Tamina used the caption "#NoMercy" which is a SmackDown Live exclusive pay-per-view, which makes it rather likely she will end up on the blue brand on Tuesday nights.

Despite there being a ready made opponent on Monday Night Raw in Nia Jax, it seems WWE do not want to go down that road just yet, both men have similar figures and would likely be a great match for each other.

The women of WWE have come so far in such a short space of time, with the days of the infamous bra and panties matches long gone.

Currently the fans of professional wrestling see the females as equal to the men with the likes of Sasha Banks, Bayley, Charlotte and Becky Lynch seen as the four [horse] women leading the charge.

The Boss and her best friend, headlined a special while in NXT as they competed in an ironman match that has been hailed as one of the best in the developmental brand.

There has been talk of women closing a WWE special on the network although at this point nothing is concrete but the fact that it is being discussed is a huge leap forward in terms of equality in sports entertainment.
