Seth Rollins does not seem to be able to catch a break, first after being screwed out of the WWE Universal Championship at Clash of Champions he was unable to get his sweet revenge.

Chris Jericho's interference in the main event match between the former Shield member and Kevin Owens was one obstacle for him to overcome but it did not end there.

Stephanie McMahon ushered a referee down to the ring (following the previous official's injury) at the opportune moment for K.O to capitalize and retain his gold.

As announced on Monday Night Raw, Rollins was taken to a medical center before the show to be evaluated and the results were not too good.

At that time, he was unable to compete but The Architect was still planning on dishing out some revenge to Owens and Jericho later that night.

Mick Foley and his security team, however, had other ideas and prevented the 30-year-old from inflicting more pain on himself and his targets.

Rollins was seen breathing 'with difficulty' backstage which at first indicated some kind of rib injury which would have been disastrous for any future plans.

Thankfully, however, he suffered an injury with less consequences but will still rule him out of action for a little while: slight tissue damage.

Following his injury, he will have to be medically cleared by officials and undergo a second evaluation in order to prevent any further injury.

The injury breakdown

With fears that he originally sustained a broken or fractured rib, this could have meant that Rollins would have been absent for about upwards of eight weeks.

His actual injury was from a blow suffered when Owens' knee went directly into the rib of the challenger, which is a far less serious one.

Soft tissue damage recovery time depends on where the injury was sustained as depending on if it the ST of the ribcage or the costal cartilage.

A further examination may reveal the injury more in-depth as at this moment it could range from standard bruising to separated ribs.
