The downward spiral of Total Nonstop Action continues but this time, their short-term future may have a detrimental effect on their long-term sustainability.

With the promotion still in the midst of a sale, a new problem has aroused with question marks surrounding whether the company can fund their next pay-per-view.

Bound for Glory troubles

TNA and its increasing roster of stars head to Orlando for their next special event of Bound for Glory but with little to no funds available will the event even take place? As if the outlook did not look bad enough, they do not have money for future tapings of Impact Wrestling; with the company now desperate for income.

The issue of their lack of funds may be disastrous for their long term future with a number of promotions interested in buying the company, but with them inevitably going to crumble surely they could be bought on the cheap. Ring of Honor seem to be the most responsive party but have little interest in keeping the wrestling company in existence as they want their television spots secured.

WWE, on the other hand, has a similar standpoint as their main interest lies in the video library of TNA which according to a recent report was valued at nearly $40 million.

However, Vince McMahon and co. are never going to pay that much to a company involved in such a struggle and may be able to purchase the 14-year-old Jeff Jarrett founded the company on the cheap.

The holdup

One man that seems to have TNA's best interest at heart is Billy Corgan who has shown a desire to buy the company although a deal of this sorts will take time and effort. Dixie Carter still holds the majority share but with an exact figure to buy the company still to be sorted out, any chance of a resolution before this Sunday is almost impossible.

Corgan nonetheless is heavily invested in TNA as he has been involved since 2015 while being involved in wrestling since he started his own Chicago-based promotion in 2011; Resistance Pro Wrestling. One of the biggest issues involving the potential sale is that Carter wants a company to purchase 49% of the promotion allowing her to retain a majority stake, only halting negotiations.
