With the future of Total Nonstop Action in doubt, it seems only natural that the current roster would think about their lives following the promotion's expected demise.

Bobby Lashley is one of the pinnacles in the company and he talks about a possible WrestleMania showdown with Brock Lesnar in the company where he made his name.

Currently, Lashley is firmly a part of TNA, although if reports are to be believed, he may become a free agent very, very soon.

He appeared on an episode of Jim Ross': The Ross Report and answered questions regarding a possible match with Lesnar on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

He said "You know, I hear that all the time, and J.R., you know as well as I do, it’s not in my hands. If you ask me, I would say absolutely, but it is the powers that be."

Despite the prospect of a match, the 40-year-old revealed that he has never actually met the current resident of Suplex City who is one of the most feared superstars in WWE today.

He said "I think that there are enough fans who would love to see it. They’have been saying it from day one. And you know what the funny thing about it is? I have never met Brock in person."

It would make a showdown more interesting given that the two have no allegiances to each other, and with both having a shared interest in MMA there exists a possibility for a storyline between the duo.

On money in the fight

Lashley said that he has always been compared to The Beast who conquered the undefeated streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30.

He said "And I’ve always been compared to Brock, and they say ‘Are you and Brock going to fight? Are you and Brock going to wrestle?"

The veteran TNA champion has a pretty good MMA record in fighting promotion Bellator where he is currently defeated in his past four fights.

Lesnar on the other hand has won five fights and lost three in the UFC with Lashley unsure of whether a legitimate fight could be an option for the pair.

He said "I do not know if the fighting is still an opportunity with me being in Bellator and him kind of being with the UFC; or I do not know what the situation is right now."

The Destroyer said he would be willing to look down each avenue for the prospect of each match as he said "So I don’t know if the fight thing is possible, but to see me as Brock’s destroying everyone and save the day, or vice versa, whatever the case is, have us stand face to face? I think the crowd would go insane."

Lashley last appeared at a 'Mania in 2007 when he was selected by current United States presidential candidate Donald Trump as his fighting champion to take on the late Umaga.

On fighting one last time on such a huge stage as The Show of Shows he said "And there is a tremendous amount of money in it. If it were to happen, then I’m open for it."
