Rob Van Dam hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since 2014 when he made an appearance to at the Slammy Awards to present the Hardcore Moment Of The Year and after a year with the company, he disappeared again. After making a few rare appearances on the independent scene, RVD has rarely appeared in a wrestling ring since leaving WWE, which has left fans wondering when he is next going to show up.

The former ECW star did reveal that he was approached by WWE during the Wyatt Family's feud with former ECW stars but he turned down their offer due to a lack of interest and the company not offering enough money.

His current status

RVD has recently lifted the lid on his current status with the company during an interview on the X-Pac 1,2,3 Podcast, where he admitted hasn't "heard from them since" his previous offer to work against the Wyatt's.

He claimed that it "wasn't a good time" for him when the previous offer was given and he was going through some "personal stuff" which meant he didn't want to be on the road on a WWE schedule at that time. However, even though he turned down WWE's offer he admitted that "there's always a dollar amount that makes it worthwhile," which shows that if the money is right there could be a shot at a return for RVD.

Unfortunately, for those seeking a return for RVD the veteran performer he believes that the dollar amount he stated might have "scared them away" which means that the company might not be interested in spending large sums of money on a part-time performer.

With the brand split rumors were rampant about former stars and RVD's name was one who came up as a former star who might return to bolster the depth of the rosters but that never came to fruition and it doesn't look like it will anytime soon as he revealed he "hasn't really talked to them (WWE)."
