There was plenty of talking points from this week's episode of Monday Night Raw as the red brand continued building towards Hell in a Cell in what was sadly, another average episode that continued to prove three hours is simply too long.

5. Sin Cara joins the cruiserweight division

This week saw Sin Cara be used in the correct way for the first time since the brand split as he officially joined the cruiserweight division that is quickly growing in numbers every week. Sadly, despite the addition of Sin Cara to the cruiserweight roster, there was still something missing from the division with the only superstars that seem to have any character or storylines being TJ Perkins and The Brian Kendrick.

It's an issue that WWE need to address immediately as these cruiserweights need some storylines and time to develop personalities in order for the fans to connect, otherwise, it will simply continue to be random matches featuring different cruiserweights each week with the crowd seemingly not interested in any of it. However, adding Sin Cara was a smart move as he was doing nothing on the main roster and he is a talented wrestler who can work fun, fast paced matches that suit the division.

4. The main event steals the show

Raw seemed to simply drag this week with nothing really standing out or wowing this writer, however, the main event featuring Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins was an example of what the three hour long episodes should be about, wrestling. This week featured too many quick matches or meaningless promos which the main event differed from, allowing it to stand out.

Both men involved are always capable of putting on entertaining matches and with their current storyline which is intertwined with Kevin Owens allowed the match to really standout and finally give the brilliant crowd something noteworthy.

3. Hell in a Cell overkill

Mick Foley was involved in one of this week's most pointless segments where he announced three matches to take place inside the demonic structure of Hell in a Cell. Whilst the idea of him being the GM and needing to announce matches to show his power, along with his obvious link to the steel structure, it was another segment that just didn't work with Foley and Stephanie McMahon bumbling along taking up time that could and should be given to the talent, the way SmackDown does.

Foley's announcement that three matches will be inside Hell in a Cell is also overkill and makes the structure seem much less important. It should be used to finish feuds that have been building between two people who hate each other, not simply because a PPV is named after it.

2. The women are set to make history

With the previous statement in mind one match that does deserve to be inside the cage is Sasha Banks - Charlotte. The battle over the Women's Championship will make history as the first ever female Hell in a Cell match and it is well deserved by both. It's a feud that has been ongoing since their days in NXT it is a battle worthy of the stipulation and the fact it continues the women's revolution at the same time is an added bonus.

1. Brock Lesnar's challenge is sent

Finally, the rumors and speculation can be put to bed as Paul Heyman returned to Raw to officially challenge Goldberg to a match on behalf of his client, Brock Lesnar. It is a match that fans have been expecting ever since Goldberg as announced as part of the WWE 2K17 game and next week the former WCW star will return to the red brand in what is a must see moment to let the world know, 'Who's next.'
