French sprinter Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) has admitted that his new team struggled to fit him into their train in the recent Tour of Qatar.

The 24-year-old struggled in the sprints against rivals such as Alexander Kristoff (Katusha).

And Bouhanni stated that the team have been working hard on getting their sprint train organised as they enter the Tour of Oman.

"We discussed our roles, where this person has to be at such a distance from the line, and if they weren’t there how things had gone awry,” revealed Bouhanni as he spoke of the debriefings he and his teammates took part in each evening in Qatar.

The Frenchman was Cofidis' most significant signing going into the 2015 season, and believes that it will take time to settle into the team.

“We just need everyone to find their place, and to do things naturally, without thinking too much, without having to say too much to each other,” Bouhanni explains.

“I am after all in a new team and I knew that it would take at least two races to get things sorted out.”
