Chelsea and Tottenham prepare for the clash that will seperate their 2014/2015 split in matches played against each other so far this season. In a fixture that has recently been dominated by the home side, now they take their talents and mentality to a neutral ground again. The last time both teams were in a final at Wembley, a differential Chelsea squad embarrassed a Gareth Bale led squad 5-1 in the 2011/2012 F.A. Cup final.

However, the Barclays Premier League game played at White Hart Lane in January proved that Spurs had the potential to give a devastating blow to the league favorites in their 5-3 victory. Chelsea look to pick themselves up after last weekends 1-1 draw with lower table side Burnley, in which Nemanja Matic, arguably Chelsea's best player this season, was giving a red card and a three match suspension. Even though his suspension was lightened to only two matches, he still is a vital missing piece in the middle of their central midfield.

Ramires will most likely fill the void left in the first team squad with Matic out and Mikel still suffering from injury. On the other hand, Tottenham's new starlet Harry Kane remains hopeful to continue his form, already breaking into the top scorers in the Barclays Premier League with 14 goals. Additionally, Tottenham have the upper edge by have beaten Chelsea in the League Cup final in 2008.

Team News

Already with Nemanja Matic out, Chelsea still are left with a lot of squad questions. Cech or Courtois? Zouma over Cahill? Cuadrado or Willian? No comments were made by Mourinho yet on how the squad may be chosen for the final.

Spurs are mostly well rested, with significant players like Kyle Walker and Harry Kane not starting in the midweek Europa League fixture against Fiorentina. Hugo Lloris looks to keep his starting place over Michel Vorm between the posts. No injuries cutting off Pochettino's first team.

Jose Mourinho:

"It's the only moment where I just think about the moment

I don't think about the future, I don't think about the consequences.

"I just think about this game

We have a final to win on Sunday and nothing else matters

I don't think it's because you win the cup final you win the league."

Mauricio Pochettino:

"We got this victory against Chelsea on January 1 and it is important for belief

"If you saw the game, our performance was nearly perfect and we played very well

We need to repeat the same performance to come close to winning the trophy.

"It is true there have been many years without a trophy, so this is a very good chance to give the club another."
