Yeovil Town LadiesSarah Wiltshere has committed her future to the FA WSL 2 club, in a deal which will see he remain at the club for the 2016 season.

The 24-year-old first joined Yeovil from Watford and enjoyed her first campaign after finding the net 10 times in 11 appearances.

After putting in similar performances throughout her time at the WSL 2 side, Wiltshere caught the eye of Manchester City Women but returned to the club after the mid-season break scoring three goals in 14 appearances.

Yeovil was the only club for Wiltshere

The attacker admitted that “there was no other club [Wiltshire] was going to sign for” and “there was no other place [she’d] rather be playing her football,” during an interview for Yeovil’s official club website.

The new WSL season is fast approaching with Jamie Sherwood’s side kicking off their campaign against Bristol City Women, who were relegated from the WSL 1 last season, but before then they face Bradford City Women next weekend in the FA Women’s Cup.

The team is coming together nicely who are raring to go for the new season and I can’t wait for it all to begin next weekend,” explained the 24-year-old.

Sherwood expecting goals

No other player has scored more WSL goals for Yeovil than Wiltshere and Sherwood is expecting her “to double that tally this coming season".

“I have always said that when Sarah is smiling her game is flowing, creative and very good to watch," she added. "Sarah is back smiling and looking sharp and positive, which can only mean that she’s ready to remind people of what she can do.”

New faces and new home

Wilstshere will have a new attacking partner with England under-19 international Atlanta Primus completing her move from WSL 1 side Chelsea Ladies earlier this month.

It was announced earlier this month that Yeovil will now play their home games at Huish Park and moving from Sherborne Town FC.
