A thrilling start and finish to the second half at the Madjeski saw Reading and Wolves share six goals and the points in the Championship.

Wolves might feel they should have won this game on the back of their second half rally however in the first half they were woeful as Reading cruised into the lead.

Just 18 minutes were on the clock when Michael Hector headed the Royals in front. The hosts worked a short corner routine between Blackman and Norwood with the latter getting the ball back in tons of space on the right wing which allowed him right footed to pick out Hector who powered it in from six yards.

This culminated Reading's first half dominance as they'd gone close twice in the previous five minutes. First Jordan Obita with an in-swinging costless kick from the right which Simon Cox glanced just wide of Karl Ikeme's right post. two minutes later and cox was involved again as he drove at the Wolves defence before releasing Glenn Murray down the right side of the box who blasted wide of the near post.

Into the second half and the visitors came out a different side and were level just five minutes into the period. Bakary Sako took on Chris Gunter down the left and got to the byline before pulling the ball back across the box where Alex Pearce took a swing and miss which allowed James Henry to thrash the ball into the top corner from just 10 yards.

Only four minutes later and a comeback was complete for Wolves as Lee Evans put them in front for the first time. Originally it was could work from Obita to win the ball back in his own box however he then cleared right footed in weak fashion with the ball going straight to Evans on the penalty spot who quickly controlled with his right foot and slapped in with his left foot to the bottom corner.

Then though Reading were back on terms for a second time as Cox once again got at the heart of the Wolves defence before releasing Jake Taylor on the left side of the box who calmly slotted through Ikeme's legs first time left footed.

After this crazy spell of three goals in four minutes the game seemed to ember away and looked certain to finish 2-2. Once again though the game sprung into life with six minutes left. An in-swinging corner from the right for Wolves which substitute David Edwards seemed to flick home however it was Reading's Neil Blackman who got the touch to the ball which had just crossed the line after a great spot by the linesman.

One last twist arrived though just a minute from the end of normal time. Blackman who'd just scored the own goal went on a good run down the left and cut inside which allowed the ball to break to Glen Murray on the edge of the box who hit a decent right foot shot which was going wide however it took a slight deflection which lifted it into Ikeme's top left corner as well as lifting the roof off the Madjeski
