Blackpool will be hoping to find that first elusive victory this season as they face manager-less Cardiff City at Bloomfield Road on Friday (7.45pm K.O).

Jose Riga will be hoping Peter Clarke is well enough to feature after missing Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough due to illness. On loan goalkeeper Joe Lewis will be sidelined as he faces his parent club, meaning former Bluebird Elliot Parish may debutise.

Ravel Morrison could make his full Cardiff City debut on Friday after two subsitute appearances so far. The Bluebirds remain unbeaten under the leadership of Danny Gabbidon and Scott Young and a win would see City climb into the top half of the Championship table, albeit for 24 hours.

Kenwyne Jones' midweek goal against Brighton moved his tally up to five for the season, while Blackpool striker Ishmael Miller opened his account on Tuesday as Blackpool picked up only their third point of the season so far.

A first win in 12 for The Tangerines would see them leapfrog Bolton into 23rd and would give them hope that a survival chance could be possible.
