Chelsea's attacking starlet Izlam Feruz has been linked with making a loan move to newly-promoted Championship side MK Dons in the coming weeks.
The 19-year-old is Somalian-born but has represented Scotland at five different youth categories since 2009 after moving to the country with family at the age of five.
His youth career started with Glasgow giants Celtic, but he moved South of the border in 2011 to join Chelsea, then under the management of current Zenit Saint Petersburg boss Andre Villas-Boas.
Feruz has been out on loan before
With no first-team appearances for the Blues to speak of at this point, Feruz has already had two spells out on loan with Greek side OFI Crete and League One outfit Blackpool, but he made only three league appearances combined, with no goals.
The 5'4" forward could plug a serious hole in manager Karl Robinson's squad as he looks to add to his attacking options before the start of the new season.
Dons are said to be in the market for at least two new forwards before they kick off against Rotherham United in early August, but Robinson has recently admitted that he will be working with one of the lowest transfer budgets in the division.
In order to ensure first-team experience for Feruz, Chelsea are thought to be willing to continue to pay his wages while out on loan with the youngster's paycheck a relative drop in the Stamford Bridge ocean.
Feruz wants to play for Scotland
The forward, who cost the Blues only £300,000 in compensation after rejecting a contract offer from Celtic, has been reasonably prolific on the international stage.
From U16 to U21 level, he has bagged 13 goals in 31 appearances for Scotland, and is hopeful of making his senior bow in the coming years.
Feruz will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford, who scored 21 goals in 34 appearances for the Dons in two separate loan spells at the club and is now hoping to play his way into Jose Mourinho's first-team plans.
