With the arrival of striker Chris Wood last week and the signatures of Sol Bamba, Lee Erwin and Charlie Horton also secured, Leeds United's transfer window seems to be running fairly smoothly.

Despite the additions to his squad, Uwe Rösler has said he remains calm over making further signings and told Press Association Sport, "We're not stressing." The German admitted it was "important to get that focal point and physical striker we were looking for" but confirmed he there are "certain areas in the team" that he'd like to improve.

More signings are on the cards

"We would like to add a little bit of pace to the team and we'll see what is available on our budget." Despite adding a handful of players to his side, the Leeds boss is willing to bide his team with any future transfers and is in no rush to add to the team.

With the players returning this week for their first set of pre-season training sessions, Rösler expressed his delight with the squad and said, "They're improving day by day" and that he is "looking forward to continuing the work with a good group of players." The new additions are sure to improve the current team and Rösler's business has been impressive so far in his reign as Leeds boss.

Ajose impressing early on

Nicky Ajose, returning from a loan spell at Crewe, has been the standout player in the first week of pre-season and "turned up and ran everybody into the ground." According to Rösler, Ajose is "very well prepared" and suggests "he has a chance" if he can recreate that form.

After finishing a dismal 15th last season, Leeds are aiming for the big time again and Rösler could lead the way with one or two more strong transfer windows in the coming seasons. Leeds United kick off their Championship campaign on August 8th at home to Burnley, who were relegated from the top flight last season.
