Brighton & Hove Albion will look to make it three wins from three when they travel to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night. The Seagulls moved to the top of the Championship on Saturday when they secured a 2-1 win at Fulham thanks to Tomer Hemed's late penalty.

Huddersfield Town recovered from their 2-0 opening day defeat to Hull City and picked up their first point of the season on Saturday with a 1-1 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers. Nakhi Wells 10th minute goal gave them the lead before Nathan Delfouneso equalised for Blackburn.

Team news

Bobby Zamora will have to wait to make his second Seagulls debut as he is still suffering from a groin injury. New signing Jamie Murphy is expected to be named in the squad and should make his debut for his new club. Another new signing Uwe Huenmeier should deputise in place of Lewis Dunk who is subject to interest from Fulham.

For Huddersfield, Joe Murphy will start again in goal in place of Alex Smithies who is linked with a move to QPR. Sean Scannell should return to the line-up after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Head-to-head

Brighton currently have the edge over their Yorkshire opponents with 20 wins to 16.

The last four games between the clubs have been draws. The last win for any team was a 4-1 victory for Brighton at the Amex Stadium in March 2013.

The managers

Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell manager commented on goalkeeper Alex Smithies who is set to depart the club.

“I really like Alex Smithies and everyone connected with the Club should be proud of him; he’s a local lad who has come through the system. I can’t stop interest from other clubs – nobody can – and we know that virtually every player has a price, whether that’s here or anywhere else around the world."

Brighton manager Chris Hughton spoke about the toughness of the division.

“There isn't an easy game in the Championship; you look through the fixtures for an easier game, but there isn't one. We have got a tough period now, with seven games coming up and five of them are away from home."

“It was a really good away victory on Saturday and we will try to get another one in midweek [vs Huddersfield].”

The game is 19:45 kick off on Tuesday night at John Smith's Stadium.
