Late goals from Kieran Agard and Aiden Flint help Bristol City come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Leeds United, preventing the Whites from collecting all three points at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City start the brighter

It was Bristol City who started the brighter of the two sides and had the games first chance after two, minutes as Leeds captain Sol Bamba had to make a crucial clearance when he headed behind a dangerous cross from Joe Byran.

Then the game saw some end-to-end action followed by a quick break away from Leeds United through the middle, which saw midfielder Tom Adeyemi inches away from a great shooting position after some neat exchanging passes outwide with striker Mirco Antenucci.

Bristol City then had their first chance on goal as Callum Robinson cut inside from the left before firing way wide over Marco Silvestri's goal.

Adeyemi begun to look lively and he got onto the end of a great cross from Kalvin Phillips' drilled cross with a header which went over the bar. At the other end, Silvestri was called into action as he saved a low strike from Jonathan Kodjia before Northern Irishman Stuart Dallas had to hack clear a header from Flint off the line.

Silvestri had to be alert moments later as he blocked a Byran effort before Byran blazed over from the rebound.

Leeds take the lead

Bristol City looked more on top and had the chance to take the lead but it was Leeds who took the lead as a quick counter attack from Uwe Rosler's men saw them win a penalty as Ben Hamer brought down Antenucci just as he looked to round him, and referee Gavin Ward had just little hesitation in pointing to the spot. Antenucci dusted himself off to hit the penalty straight down the middle to give Leeds the lead.

Leeds were lifted by their opener and Sam Byram saw an downwards header held by Hamer but it was Bristol City who ended the first half the stronger as Callum Robinson was denied by Silvestri from point-blank range on the stroke of half-time.

Leeds make it two against the run of play

Bristol City started the strongest out of the two sides after half-time as Aaron Wilbraham turned inside the area only to see his shot saved by Silvestri's legs.

But it was Leeds who got the second goal of the game as Chris Wood scored his first goal for the club following another quick Leeds counter attack as Antenucci turned provider this time and found Wood who cut inside before firing past Hamer to double the advantage for Rosler's men.

Bristol City had chances to get a goal back as Wilbraham tried to get on the end of a cross from substitute Bobby Reid's left-wing cross and Derek Williams hit a long-range free-kick over the bar.

Bristol City produce a late fightback

The home side did eventually get a goal back when Reid played the ball through to fellow substitue Agard and he fired home off the near post from inside the area with just a minute of normal time left to play.

There was then further drama, as deep into stoppage time Bristol City had a corner which was Flint scored from after Reid's ball in was flicked on and Silvestri made an inital save, but couldn't keep out the rebound which hit Flint on his thigh's and went in to earn Bristol City a point and to claw victory away from Rosler's men.
